The year 2019 is turning into a Ritwick Chakraborty film festival which is actually a good thing for cinelovers. After having eight releases so far in this year, his ninth film Buro Sadhu is all set to release in this October. The film has been written and directed by Vik. Apart from Ritwick the film will also feature Chiranjit Chakraborty, Ishaa Saha and television actress Mishmee Das in leading roles.

The story is about an alcoholic man who is suffering from ill effects of his excessive drinking habit. When drunk, he suffers from hallucination and he can see his alter ego who looks like an old sage hence the name of the film is Buro Sadhu. In colloquial language popular rum brand Old Monk is referred as Buro Sadhu as its literal Bengali translation and the film is centered around an alcoholic person so in that way also the title is justified.

Recently the trailer of the film has been released. In the trailer we can see the glimpses of different stages from the life of the protagonist Abir played by Ritwick Chakraborty. He is an alcoholic who is not ambitious enough about his future. People think he is mentally unstable. Even he himself has doubt that he suffers from hallucination. The trailer also shows the girls in his life, his girlfriend at an younger age played by Mishmee Das and his fiancee played by Ishaa Saha. There is very little glimpse of Chiranjit Chakraborty also who is appearing as the alter ego of Abir when he is drunk. In the trailer we can see different looks of Ritwick Chakraborty to show his character at different ages. The make up and hair artist deserves credit for creating these separate looks specially the younger look when the character has just pass out from college. Of course besides, hair and make-up it is also the brilliance Ritwick Chakraborty as an actor to make his young age look so much credible. Other than the impressive performance of Ritwick Chakraborty, the other thing that holds attention in the trailer is the cinematography by Sanjib Ghosh. Although the story is not so much new but from the trailer it seems that writer director Vik will narrate this story in a refreshing format. To know that we have to see the film when it will be released till then enjoy the trailer:
