“Tu Dikkhe Na” song from “Ek Je Chhilo Raja”
After getting much accolades for the first song Esho Hey, the makers of Ek Je Chhilo Raja has released the second song Tu Dikkhe Na.
It is a sufi song in hindi written by Srijato Bandopadhyay and composed by Indraadip Das Gupta. The song has been sung by well renowned singer Kailash Kher along with Ishan Mitra. For such sufi songs Kailash Kher’s voice is very well suited. Ishan Mitra’s voice texture is completely different from Kailash and this jugalbandi of two different voices works really well for the song.
The song is about the search of the almighty through our own soul. In the video we can see this soul searching journey of the character played by Jisshu Sengupta. The song features his journey towards becoming a sanyasi. It starts from the ghats of Varanasi and the journey continues at different locations of India from snow clad mountains to the arid deserts. In this portions we see Jisshu in a very different look. It must not be an easy job to shoot in such extreme weather conditions that too in bare minimum clothes. It shows how much effort Jisshu Sengupta has given for this character. Also Make Up artist Somnath Kundu deserves applause for creating such an authentic look of a sanyasi, for the character. In the later half of the song the focus shifts to another search, the search of a sister for his lost brother. In this portions we see Jaya Ahsan looking for his lost brother at different locations of Varansai ghats.
Tu Dikkhe Na is a kind of song that touches the soul and leaves a lingering effect on mind. Listen to it and let the song take over your soul and mind.
