Trailer of the movie “Sweater”

Winter is ready to say bye to us but Sweater is here to stay for some more time. Director Shieladitya Moulik is all set to make his debut in Bengali films with the movie Sweater. The film has been produced by PSS Entertainments.

The film is based on a short story named as Wool Kaata written by Joeeta Sengupta. It tells the story of an young unmarried girl Tuku. Tuku’s father is looking for a suitable to groom for her to get her married, but every time she gets rejected by the family members of the groom for several reasons. These constant rejections have lowered down her confidence. Finally they get a good offer from a suitable groom’s family. But there is one strange condition from the would be groom’s mother that the girl must know how to knit a sweater. As Tuku’s father don’t want to loose this opportunity so he sends Tuku to his sister’s house in Darjeeling to learn the art of knitting a sweater from her. During this stay at her aunt’s home, Tuku has a life changing experience. Through the Sweater she gets an opportunity to prove herself. How this experience will boost her confidence that we have to see in the film.

Actress Ishaa Saha is playing the character of Tuku. Kharaj Mukherjee and Shreelekha Mitra are playing her father and aunt respectively. Apart from them, the film also features June Malya, Sidhu, Sourav Das, Farhan Imroze in significant characters.

Recently the trailer of the film has been released and its simplicity will surely grab your attention. In the trailer, apart from the wonderful actors on screen the other things that draws attention are the wonderful cinematography by Uday Singh Mohite and soothing music composed by Ranajoy Bhattacharjee and Anindya Chatterjee.     Very good review. Hrid Majhaare had indeed set very high hopes and Rong Beronger Kori has absolutely met them. Kudos to the director Ranjan Ghosh. Definitely someone to watch out for. What a film…. (y)
