From last few years, watching a Byomkesh movie has became a must for every Bengali during Durga Puja. This year this trend will be continued with Satyanweshi Byomkesh but this time it will be altogether a different experience with a new cast and crew. This time we will see Parambrata Chatterjee playing the iconic sleuth. He will be accompanied by Rudranil Ghosh by his side as Ajit. The film has been produced by Greentouch Entertainment and R T Network Solutions. It has been directed by Sayantan Ghosal who has already directed some seasons of Byomkesh web series for digital platform.

Satyanweshi Byomkesh will be based on the story Magno Mainak written by Sharadindu Bandopadhyay and it will be set in the backdrop of 1971, the year mostly known for Muktijuddho aka Bangladesh Liberation War. Anjan Dutt who has already directed many Byomkesh movies, has written the screenplay and he is also the creative supervisor of the film. Apart from that he has also acted in the film in a significant character.

This time, not only the cast and crew is new but the narrative approach will also be different from other movies of this franchise. A hint was already given in the teaser that this time the story will not just revolve around basic human emotions rather the political backdrop will also play an important part. This point has been made more clear in the trailer of the film that has been released recently. In the opening of the trailer itself we get to hear about the time period that is 1971, a year with very much political significance specially for Bengal.

In the trailer we can see Parambrata Chatterjee as Satyanweshi Byomkesh. His approach towards the character is looking more relaxed and less serious compared to the other iterations of Byomkesh on screen. He has used his smart sense of humor wisely to give a refreshing feel to this character. Also his chemistry with Rudranil is looking very convincing. In the trailer, other than  Parambrata and Rudranil, it is Suprobhat Das who has grabbed all the attention. It seems he is going to deliver a powerful performance in the film. The trailer also features the other key characters played by Anjan Dutt, Gargee Roychowdhury, Sumanta Mukherjee, Swaroopa Ghosh and newcomer Ayoshi Talukdar.

We all are excited to see our favorite sleuth in a new look and feel, in this Puja. Till then get a glimpse of it in the trailer:
