For a long time director Raj Chakraborty has been accused for making remakes but in many of his interviews he has clarified that making a remake was more of his producer’s choice than him. May be that is why after becoming a producer himself, he is trying to make movies that he actually wanted to make for a long time, mainstream movies with good and original content. He has already done that in the much appreciated Parineeta this year and also the teaser of his next film Dharmajuddha is looking very promising. In the meant time he has announced his next film as a director titled as Habji Gabji. It will feature Parambrata Chatterjee and Subhashree together for the first time. It will be Parambrata’s second work with Raj Chakraborty after Pralay.

The film will address a very relevant issue of today’s society and that is excessive addiction of young kids towards mobile and internet gaming. In fact the title of the film has been derived from a hugely popular mobile game PUBG. Now a days kids are getting more and more involved in virtual world that is cutting them off from real world and it is not a good sign for their future. In the film Parambrata and Subhashree will be seen as working parents who can not give much attention to their kid, as a result the kid is getting lost more and more in the virtual world of internet and mobile. Search is still on for the actor who will play the kid. Padmanabha Dasgupta has written the story and screenplay and Indraadip Das Gupta will do the music for the film. Manas Ganguly will work as the DOP.
