Parambrata and Mimi in Arindam Sil’s next thriller “Khela Jokhon”

Almost a year ago, director Arindam Sil was supposed to made a thriller titled as Khela Jokhon. It was supposed to be made with Shree Venkatesh Films as the producers but later it was shelved for budget constraints. Now after a long wait finally Arindam Sil is all set to hit the shooting floors with this film as he has found new producers. Now it will be produced by Camellia Productions. After Mitin Mashi and yet to be released film Maayakumari, it will be Arindam Sil’s thrid film with the production house.

It will be a thriller that will revolve around the character of married woman who has just came out of coma. She has a loving husband and caring in laws but soon she starts realizing that things are not as simple as it is appearing. There is something suspicious around her. As per director Arindam Sil, it will be his tribute to his favorite filmmaker Quentin Tarantino. Bollywood famed Bengali writer Arijit Biswas (known for co-writing movies like Badlapur and Andhadhun) has co-written the story and screenplay with director Arindam Sil.

The film will feature Parambrata Chatterjee and Mimi Chakraborty in the lead cast as a married couple. Earlier these two were featured together in Raj Chakraborty’s Praloy many years ago. It will be Mimi’s second film with the director after Dhananjoy. On the other hand Parambrata Chatterjee will work under Arindam Sil’s direction for the first time. In the very beginning actress Sayani Gupta was supposed to be the leading lady but later the role landed to Mimi. Also actors Abir Chatterjee and Anirban Bhattacharya were considered for the male lead but finally Parambrata Chatterjee is doing it. Other than Parambrata and Mimi, the film will also feature Ridhima Ghosh, June Malya, Harsh Chhaya, Arna Mukhopadhayay, Tanushree Shankar in other important characters.

Once again Bickram Ghosh will compose the music and background score for the film. It will be his 12th film with the director. Shubhankar Bhar will be the DOP and Sunil Rodrigues will designs the stunts. Shooting for the film is about to start from the second half of April at different locations of Kolkata, Bolpur and Kurseong.
