Subhashree Ganguly to play a courtesan in “Rosogolla”
Actress Subhashree Ganguly is the latest to join the cast of upcoming movie Rosogolla. She will be seen playing a courtesan of 19th century in the film.
Rosogolla will be the second film of director Pavel who had made his directorial debut with much acclaimed Babar Naam Gandhiji. Rosogolla as the name suggests is actually about the most favourite sweet dish of Bengal which is worldwide popular now. The film will tell the story of Nobin Chandra Das , the inventor of Rosogolla. Kaushik Ganguly and Churni Ganguly’s son Ujaan Ganguly who will make his debut with this film will essay the character of Nobin Chandra Das. Apart from the story of invention of the most loved sweet , there is a sweet love story too. Debutante girl Avantika will be seen as the love of Nobin’s life.
There will be a small track of a courtesan too where Subhashree Ganguly will be seen. It is not a big part but Subhashree is too excited to work with Shiboprasad-Nandita as producers. Recently her look has been revealed and she is looking gorgeous in the ethnic attire. We mostly see her in commercial films in western outfits , so it will be refreshing to see her in this new image.
Shooting for the film is in progress and it is scheduled to release in December on the occasion of 150 year completion of Rosogolla.
