He has one movie still running in theaters (Uma), one is ready for release in two months (Ek Je Chhilo Raja), for another one he has just wrapped up shooting (Shah Jahan Regency) and now he has announced his next directorial. Recently production house Shree venkatesh Films has made an official announcement about the film. It will be directed by Srijit Mukherji and will feature Prosenjit Chatterjee in the lead. It will be their seventh film together. The yet untitled film will be based on the story of Gumnami Baba which is indirectly related with Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. So the film has been announced on 18th August, on the same date when Netaji was last seen 73 years ago before his plane crash.
Netaji’s death is still an unresolved mystery. Some people believe he was died in 1945 because of a plane crash in Taiwan. At the same time many people has a belief that he was alive after the crash and was living a secret life. Gumnami Baba is one such chapter related with his post plane crash existence.
