Srijit Mukherji announced his next film VinciDa, a thriller with Ritwick and Sohini

Srijit Mukherji is currently busy with the promotion of his next release Ek Je Chhilo Raja. But soon after its release he is all set to hit the shooting floors with his next film titled as VinciDa. The film will be a crime thriller revolving around four central characters which will be played by extremely talented actors Ritwick Chakraborty, Sohini Sarkar, Anirban Bhattacharya and Rudranil Ghosh . It will be Srijit’s fourth consecutive film with Anirban and Rudranil, after Uma, Ek Ke Chhilo Raja and Shahjahan Regency. With Ritwick and Sohini , director Srijit Mukherji is collaborating for second time after a long gap of more than three years. Ritwick was last seen in Srijit’s Nirbaak and Sohini was a part of the multi starer Rajkaahini.

According to Srijit he has done the casting as per script’s requirement, there is nothing like that he wants shift focus from stars to actors. He is tight lipped about the subject and characters of the film. Also he has not disclosed the secret about the title of the film VinciDa which may be somehow related with DaVinci. Before this Srijit Mukherji had made two crime thrillers Baishey Shrabon and Chatushkone. Both these movies were highly appreciated by the audience and also hugely successful at the box office. So we are eagerly looking forward to yet another crime thriller from him. The film will be produced by Shree Venkatesh Films and shooting will begin in the second half of October. Most probably the film will be ready for release in the first half of 2019.  Apart from VinciDa two more  Bengali movies and two web series are in pipeline which will be made by Srijit Mukherji but those are still in pre-production stage.
