Srijit Mukherji and Kabir Suman to collaborate together once again
Recently on the occasion of Kabir Suman’s 70th birthday director Srijit Mukherji made an announcement that Kabir Suman has agreed to compose music for his upcoming film Lawho Gouranger Naam Re. It will be a double biopic based on the lives of Mahaprabhu Chaitanya and Noti Binodini. This announcement is surely the best return gift from Suman to his fans.
Last time Srijit and Suman had worked together on the film Jaatishwar and unanimously it is one of the best film music album in the careers of both of them. In Fact Kabir Suman had received National Award also for that film. Besides him Rupankar Bagchi too had won National award for playback singing for the song E Tumi Kemon Tumi. So for obvious reasons there are high expectations from the duo for their upcoming collaboration.
Mostly we see either Anupam Roy or Indraadip Das Gupta composing music for Srijit Mukherji’s films. But there are some movies like Jaatishwar and Lawho Gouranger Naam Re which represents a different music culture, for such movies Srijit needs someone like Kabir Suman to compose the music. As of now Srijit is busy with his upcoming movies for this year and it has some time to start work on this double biopic which will release in 2020. In the mean time Kabir Suman is also busy composing music for Aniket Chattopadhyay’s fairy tale story Hobu Chandra Raja Gobu Chandra Mantri.
