Sequel of Guptodhoner Sondhane- Durgeshgorer Guptodhon

The recent release of Shree Venkatesh Films production Guptodhoner Sondhane has already became a big success. This treasure hunt thriller directed by debutante director Dhrubo Banerjee is getting big thumbs up from the audiences. The film is about the hunt for a hidden treasure from Moghul period. Much before the release it was almost decided that the producers will make it as a treasure hunt franchisee and the recent success of Guptodhoner Sondhane has encouraged the producers to go forward in that direction. Recently they have announced the sequel of Guptodhoner Sondhane which has been titled as Durgeshgorer Guptodhon.

With this announcement Guptodhon franchisee has became the first successful franchisee in Bengali cinema where the story is original not any adaptation from any literature. So far we have seen franchise of Feluda. Byomkesh, Kiriti, Shabor and now Sona Da has joined the league. Although unlike the others, Sona Da is not a fictitious character from any book.  Just like the first movie of this series, the next one will also unfold lots of historical facts of Bengal about which a larger section of people are still unaware. The lead trio of Abir Chatterjee, Arjun Chakrabarty and Ishaa Saha will be their reprising the same characters of Prof Subarana Sen aka Sona Da, Abir and Jhinuk respectively. Currently the film is in scripting stage  so rest of the cast has not been finalized yet. Nothing much has been disclosed about the story as of now but as the name suggests it may have some connection with the hidden treasures in some fort. Most probably shooting for the film will begin towards the end of this year. It will hit the theaters around April next year. So the hunt will be continued in next summer too.
