Prosenjit Rituparna to be paired up together in Kaushik Ganguly’s next film “Drishtikone”

One of the most loved pair of Bengali movies Prosenjit Chatterjee and Rituparna Sengupta will be paired together once again in their upcoming film “Drishtikone” directed by Kaushik Ganguly. The pair was last seen together in “Praktan”, two years ago which was a big success. “Drishtikone” will be produced by Surinder Films and it will be their 50th production.

As per director Kaushik Ganguly it will be mature love story which will be quite new for Bengali movies. It will be a story about the bonding between a lawyer and his client. It will see the relationship with a different perspective that is why it has been named as “Drishtikone” which means perspective in Bengali. Prosenjit Chatterjee will play a lawyer Mr Mitra and Rituparna Sengupta will be seen as his client Mrs Sen. In the beginning it will be a professional relationship only but as the case keeps dragging for longer time gradually their professional relationship will turn into personal bonding. Churni Ganguly will be seen as Prosenjit Chatterjee’s on screen wife and Kaushik Ganguly himself will be there in Rituparna’s brother-in-law’s character. Also there will be Gaurav Chakraborty who will play a junior lawyer working under Prosenjit. The actor who will play Rituparna’s husband has not been decided yet.

Both Prosenjit Chatterjee and Rituparna Sengupta will work with Kaushik Ganguly for the first time and both of them are very excited for this opportunity. Kaushik Ganguly is also very happy for finally being able to cast these two talented actors with a perfect script.

After being busy with shooting and promotion of two back to back films “Bishorjon” and “Chhaya O Chhobi”, Kaushik Ganguly has involved himself with pre production of “Drishtikone”. Shooting for the movie will start after pujo. Most of the shooting will be done in Kolkata apart from one outdoor schedule in Puri. Gopi Bhagat will be the DOP for the film and music will be composed by Anupam Roy.

Hopefully the talented trio of Kaushik Ganguly, Prosenjit Chatterjee and Rituparna Sengupta will create magic together and live up to our expectations.
