We are eagerly waiting for the release of Kamaleshwar Mukherjee’s next film “Amazon Obhijaan”, in the meantime he has already started shooting for his next film “Good Night City” produced by Camellia Productions.

This is a film revolving around crimes done by psychological patients. Such crimes have increased a lot in recent past. Director Kamaleshwar Mukherjee has tried to capture the human psychology behind such crimes. According to him more than a psychological thriller, it will be treated as a story about humanity.

As the name suggest the backdrop of the story will be one eventful night in the city. There will be three central characters a psychological patient who is accused of a serious crime and hiding from police, a psychologist who is trying to do counselling for the patient and one crime bench senior officer who is searching the criminal. Ironically the officer and psychologist are husband and wife who are dealing with same person but with different perspective, for one he is just a criminal who need to be punished, for other he is patient who needs care and attention. Ritwick Chakraborty will play the psychological patient and Rituparna Sengupta will be seen as the psychologist. Saswata Chatterjee will play the senior officer of crime branch. There will be some flashbacks also of the mentality unbalanced patient which will include two girls in his life. These girls will be played by Payel Sarkar and Arunima Ghosh. These flashbacks will be used to trace the causes responsible for the present condition of the man.

This is a fresh as subject as well as very relevant in current time when such crime stories are always there in news. Also there is a wonderful lead cast. Undoubtedly the film has several reasons to look out for.
