Arpita Chatterjee to play a woman in her late 20’s and early 50’s in her next film Abyakto
Arpita Chatterjee is going to play a 50+ years old woman who is a mother of a grown up man, in her next film titled as Abyakto. It will be directed by Arjun Dutta who will make his directorial debut with this film. Earlier he had made the much acclaimed short film The 6th Element. Abyakto will be a film about a mother and son named as Saathi and Indra. Arpita Chatterjee will be seen as Saathi and Anubhav Kanjilal will play her son Indra. The film will trace Indra’s journey from childhood to adolescent age to a young grown up man. The incidents happened to him which shapes up his life in a completely unexpected way. The story will explore the human emotions like love, regret, loneliness and search for own identity.
The film will also show Arpita Chatterjee in her late 20’s in the flashback sequences. So Arpita will sport two different looks to play same character in two different ages. She is very excited to work in this challenging character. Very talented actor from Bollywood Adil Hussain will also be a part of the cast in a significant character. He will be seen as Rudra, the close family friend of Saathi. It will be his fourth Bengali film. Anirban Ghosh who was last seen in Rituparna Ghosh’s Satyanweshi, will be seen as Arpita’s husband Kaushik.
Apart from them Kheya Chattopadhyay, Lily Chakraborty, Debjani Chatterjee, Pinky Banerjee and Somantak Maitra will also be the part of the cast. Shooting for the film is about to start from the end of this month. It is supposed to be ready for release by the end of this year.
