Anjan Dutt to make his next film about Binoy Badal Dinesh aka BBD

Anjan Dutt announced his next film which will be about the three famous revolutionaries from Bengal Binoy Badal and Dinesh who are also known as BBD. Obviously everyone has heard about their names but many of us are not aware of their activities in detail. So it is really a good initiative to tell the story of this bravehearts who sacrificed their lives for our nation. BBD are mostly famous for their action in 1930 when they decided to strike a terror in the British official circles by launching an attack on the Secretariat Building – The Writers’ Building in the Dalhousie Square in Calcutta. Not only that they also killed Col NS Simpson, the Inspector General of Prisons, who was infamous for the brutal oppression on the prisoners in the jails.

Anjan Dutt’s film which will be produced by Shree Venkatesh Films, will mainly talk about the attack on Writers’ Building so it has been titled as Operation Writers. But as per per the director it will also tell the back story of these three freedom fighters, how they join the movement and how they got selected for this operation. According to him he found thrilling elements in this plot so he decided to work on it. Plus he wants that the current generation of Bengal should be aware of these brave freedom fighters from Bengal whose stories are mostly forgotten. In this film Abir Chatterjee, Arjun Chakrabarty and Anirban Bhattacharya will be seen as Binoy, Badal and Dinesh respectively.

Shooting for the film is scheduled to start from January 2019 and it is planned to release during Independence Day. In the mean time two other film makers Aniket Chattopadhyay and Manas Mukul Pal is also looking forward to make films on this subject. It is always better not to make too many films on same subject but we hope at least the inspiring story of these three revolutionaries gets conveyed properly to everyone.
