5 Stories crisscrossed into 1 Movie. CRISSCROSS releasing this week.

Director Birsa Dasgupta’s new film Crisscross releasing from this week. It has been produced by Shree Venkatesh Films. The film is based on Smaranjit Chakraborty’s bestseller novel Crisscross and Mainak Bhaumik has written the adapted screenplay for the film. This is one rare mainstream film where the central characters have been played by females. It is a story of five women from different socio-economic background whose stories crisscross with each other.

Mimi Chakraborty is playing Ira, an workaholic journalist who is trying to balance both her professional and personal life equally. Priyanka Sarkar will be seen as Suzy, a single mother who is abandoned by her alcoholic, abusive husband. She is trying hard to give a better future to her son. Sohini Sarkar is playing Rupa, a troubled housewife. She is blamed by her in laws for not having a kid though her impotent husband is responsible for that. Also she has to deal with her pervert brother in law. Jaya Ahsan will be seen as Miss Sen , a successful businesswoman but a loner in personal life. Nusrat Jahan is playing an aspiring actress Meher who is the only earning member of her family. Her passion for acting does not pay her much rather she gets more offers to compromise to get success in career. Apart from these five ladies there will be Arjun Chakraborty, Gaurab Chakraborty, Mainak, Ambarish Bhattacharya, Riddhima playing other important characters.

The film talks the story of one particular day from the life of these ladies when they have to achieve some target within a limited time. On that day their paths crisscross with each other.

The trailer and the songs composed by Jam8 has been well received. Moreover it has been promoted very well by the leading ladies. All these factors will help the film will get a good opening.
