Teaser of the movie “Dharmajuddha”

After getting huge appreciation for Parineeta, director Raj Chakraborty is all set to impress everyone with his next film Dharmajuddha. The film has been produced by Raj Chakraborty Productions along with Srijan Arts owned by Shyamlal Agarwal. It will be an intense drama set in the backdrop of communal violence. The story is set in a locality situated near border area where violence over religious differences is a very regular affair. The film will revolve around five central characters who do not belong to same religion, some of them are Hindu and some are Muslim . The film will focus on the equations between these five characters, going through a situation of communal violence around them.

The character posters were released few weeks back and it had created enough curiosity for the film. Now the teaser of the film has been released and this hard hitting teaser has taken up that curiosity to another level.

The teaser is of very short duration but capable enough to engage everyone with some wonderful moments. It begins with two romantic tracks featuring the two leading ladies Subhashree and Parno Mittra along with a very catchy romantic song in the background composed by Indraadip Das Gupta. Subhashree is playing a happily married Hindu woman and Parno is playing a Muslim girl who is in love with a Hindu guy. Soon after this romantic tracks, the teaser shifts gears to the hard hitting reality where violence is all over there because of religious differences. People are getting killed and abused in the name of religion. This portion of the teaser introduces the two leading men Ritwick Chakraborty and Soham Chakraborty who are looking like two extremist followers of their corresponding religions. Towards the end of the teaser we get a glimpse of veteran actress Swatilekha Sengupta who is also playing a key character in the film.

No one can deny that Raj Chakraborty can skillfully capture the essence of small towns and its inhabitants. In Dharmajuddha also the set up in the background and characters are looking so authentic. All the lead actors are in excellent form and doing something different from their regular screen image. The subject of the film is also very much relevant in current socio-political scenario. These factors will surely help the audience to connect with the film. Looking forward to its release on March 20th, 2020. Till then enjoy the teaser:
