Parambrata to direct science fiction “Bony” based on a story written by Shirshendu
Besides being an actor, Parambrata Chatterjee has evolved as an acclaimed director too, in last few years. His last film Shonar Pahar was one the best films of recent times. After that he has already directed one more film which is yet to be released. Now he is all set to direct his next film titled as Bony which will be based on a science fiction written by Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay by the same name.
The story was first published in a Puja annual magazine in the year 1990. Parambrata has adapted this story along with Aniruddha Dasgupta to make it suitable as a screenplay for the film. This is a story of a married couple settled in Milan. They are worried about their newborn baby as he has some strange powers. On the other hand there is a America based Bengali scientist who has come to Italy in search of the kid with some evil plans in his mind. Parambrata and Koel will play the married couple and Anjan Dutt will be seen as the scientist. Apart from them there is one more central character of a middle class Bengali clerk which will be played by Kanchan Mallick. He has a Robot which will also play a pivotal role in the story. Besides these four actors there will be some actors from Italy also as a major portion of the film will be set in Italy.
According to the makers, Bony will not only be a science fiction, it will also connect with audience emotionally too, as it will tell a story of a young parent and their struggle to save their kid from evil eyes. The film will be produced by Surinder Films. Anupam Roy will compose the music and Tiyas Sen will work as the cinematographer. Shooting for the film is scheduled to begin from the mid of June at different locations of Kolkata and Italy.
