Recently PSS Entertainments and Promod Films has announced their new production titled as Abar Bochhor Kuri Pore. It will be directed by Mumbai based director Srimanta Sengupta who has already directed some television shows. Abar Bochhor Koori Pore will be his first feature film as a director. Shooting for the film was about to begin in North Bengal from March 17th but now the makers have confirmed that they have postponed the shooting because of Corona virus pandemic. In the meantime shooting has been cancelled for several other movies and shows also.

Abar Bochhor Kuri Pore, as the name suggests will be the story about reunion of five school friends after twenty years. So far PSS Entertainements and Pramod Films have mostly worked with new actors but for a change they are going to work with established actors this time. The film will feature Abir Chatterjee, Arpita Chatterjee and Tnusree in the lead roles. Also Mumbai based Bengali actor Abhishek Banerjee will make his debut in Bengali movies with this film. So far he has gained much popularity playing supporting characters in movies like Stree, Dreamgirl and Bala. Actor Anirban Bhattacharya will play the fifth friend in the group.

In this film Abir Chatterjee will be seen as a corporate professional named Arun. Arpita Chatterjee will be seen playing Bonnie who is a successful doctor now. Arun and Bonnie were in a relationship with each other during their school days but now they have moved on towards different directions in life. Tnusree will be seen as Nilanjana, a housewife well settled with family in Delhi. Abhishek Banerjee will be seen playing Dutta who still lives in Kolkata and he is the one who will plan the reunion. How these five people who were close buddies long ago will interact with each other at this mature age will take the story forward.

Also their will be flashbacks of the five friends during their school days set in the nineties. Obviously the lead actors wont suit good enough to play school kids so the makers have cast five young actors Arya Dasgupta, Dibyasha Das, Tanika Basu, Pushan Dasgupta and Aritra Dutta Banik to play the younger version of the central characters.

Reunion is a concept that has been used in several movies earlier including few Bengali movies as well. It will be interesting to see what new perspective Srimanata Sengupta will add to this concept.
